Fullerton has a very vibrant and active senior group.
The seniors are often involved in helping with the different ministries in the church and are always very supportive of the different church activities.
Doug and Dorothy Bell are the leaders of this ministry, They, like the preceding leader, Gloria Palacios, who now resides at the Linda Valley Villa in Loma Linda, continue to "foster a caring relationship with each other in our joys and sorrows as well as being a support system for each other." The every other month birthday luncheons at a local restaurant and taking occasional day trips to local areas continue.
At the birthday luncheon, usually held on the second Monday of every even numbered month to celebrate all the senior birthdays for the two month period, the honorees receive a free lunch. However, anyone may attend. Some of the seniors favorite restaurants include the Souplantation, Sizzler, the Old Spaghetti Factory and the Olive Garden.
Doug Bell organizes most of the day trips the seniors take, and some of them involve travel by train (the Metrolink), which they board in Fullerton. These trips are always fun. An example of the trips taken is a trip to Exposition Park in Los Angeles to revisit the Space Shuttle Endeavour and other attractions.
